Because Preston Company databases all DNS records, we can offer you the ability to automatically modify your DNS record with respect to MX record modifications, CNAME and A NAME additions, modifications, and deletions.

The ability to change your MX record in DNS gives you the ability to route your e-mail traffic to another server (such as a corporate mail server or an e-mail portal service). CNAME and A NAME record control give you the ability to direct subdomains of preston-net.com to a different hostname or IP address as well. Finally, you can modify the DNS record of preston-net.com, as well as the DNS of any domain name pointer you have on your account.

Below are the portions of your DNS record(s) which you control:
  1. MX Record modifications
  2. CNAME additions/modifications/removal
  3. A NAME additions/modificaitons/removal
  4. Time-to-live (TTL) modifications
Finally, while you are able to make certain changes to your DNS in real-time, the updates you make will be recognized within 24 hours of your submission, generally no later than 12:00 AM Central Standard Time when our DNS server is reloaded. At that time, your changes are updated in our DNS server, and it may take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours for these new changes to propagate throughout the Internet.
