Miva Empressa is a language pre-processor for parsing and executing applications that have been developed using the HTML based, XML compliant, Miva Script language. It reads the document and looks for tags that it knows about -- all other tags and text are output as they are found. Miva is a popular substitute for Perl and Python, with some added benefits over the two. This is similar in concept to the way that a browser "ignores" tags that it doesn't know about. Because Miva is web server and browser independent, you can freely mix HTML, Javascript, Miva Tags, VBScript, etc. in a Miva document. You can even create HTML code on-the-fly.
