Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) is an open, global specification that empowers mobile users with wireless devices to easily access and interact with information and services instantly.

Wireless Markup Language (WML) is the set of tags that are used to define the information to be served to wireless devices using WAP. WAP and WML have the same relationship as HTTP and HTML have with each other.

The purpose of WAP is to enable easy, fast delivery of relevant information and services to mobile users. Handheld digital wireless devices such as mobile phones, pagers, two-way radios, smartphones, programmed display arrays (PDA) and communicators. These types of devices from low-end to high-end use WAP.

By default, our webserver is configured to enable WAP on your account, thus allowing visitors to view any WML pages hosted on your virtual server when uising an internet enabled wireless device.
